The Future of the Professions

How is technology reshaping the professions?  Richard Susskind, joined by his son, Daniel Susskind, have written an outstanding new book, The Future of the Professions: How Technology will Transform the Work of Human Experts, that takes a look at this question. Their perspective is sweeping, arguing that the coming transformation in the work of the professional (medicine, law, architecture, teaching, etc.) will result in a new social bargain with vast but unpredictable societal consequences.  The authors were recently interviewed by Sharon D.
